Hey Everyone.
First want to say thank you for all the good info (and sometimes laughs) i get from here for free
been soloing it part time for over a year now. But i have a question thats been bugging me and im looking for answers.
How do you market yourself against larger companies. Or even other Solo operations that charge like theyre an employee and not a business.
I feel like the larger companies have the edge on being able to take out a house quickly with multiple workers making them quicker and more in and out of the way of the residents. (seems like one of the bigger things clients like according to my research) Also it seems like theyre price point is lower than what alot of you mainland guys are asking as well as myself.
I know price point isnt everything. But it seems getting past it is quite hard when your competing with several other companies for bids on jobs. And one of the first things that comes up honestly, usually is price, couple that with a competitor that can be done 2x-3x faster than me do to manpower and it feels like im being edged out.
And theres no doubt about it, I lose ALOT of possible clients do to it.
Im happy for my competition, I love entrepreneurs and anyone whos willing to work extra hard to build something. But I want to grow my company faster and it seems like its just too slow going without dropping prices.
Any suggestions?
