With TUBERUNNER, the external tube is delightfully controlled - so well, in fact, it may even entice internal tubers to change sides - so finally, we can think to block the base of each section, thereby trapping air inside. The pole is now a pneumatic (like hydraulic, but with air) device - the air is compressed when you go to lower the pole and, with a small hole in the plug, we control the release of the air as you lower the pole, slowing down the descent of the pole, defending the clamps and fingers!

Now the #7 AIR plug has been modified with a 'bar' across the base to stabilise the pole when leaning on a wall... I can't recall whose idea this was but I would like to acknowledge him and send a gift.
