Big houses cheap-ing out

Hello all. My wife and I recently moved from Nantucket to Florida. She has experience washing windows in Friday Harbor, WA, Hawaii, Martha's Vineyard, Cape Cod and Nantucket. I did windows one summer back in 2012 on Nantucket and we just started our own business in Orlando. So far we've done three jobs, have one to do tomorrow and have bid on two large jobs. Now that leads me to the title of my post: those two large jobs, one we priced at $550 estimating it'll take us five hours and the second large job we priced today at $800 with over 140 individual panes with varying sizes on a 9,200 square foot house have pulled the "we'll check our calendar and get back to you" game on us and as you'd expect, didn't call back.

I feel we're pricing those enormous houses at a fair price. The jobs we've done so far have been small ($125-225) and the only jobs we haven't landed are those two monster houses. What's your experience with people getting sticker shock with there 900 window homes? What do they expect, that I price an 8 hour job a buck a window? Appreciate the info I'm learning here on this forum. Thank you all.
