With Residential Work,I never give a customer an hourly rate.
I always quote a fixed price for the job before starting.
Recently,I completed a 4 bedroom 2 Story Home Internal and External including high Cobwebbing for $350 in 2 and 1/2 hours.
I had previously cleaned the customers last house (same size excluding Cobwebbing for $300)
The customer emailed me and said "Thank you for your invoice which I have now paid but I do think $140 an hour is very steep.A qualified plumber is $65 an hour Head chef is paid $45 an hour i'm not quite sure where you get your prices from?"
Any Ideas on how I should respond?
I'm an experienced Window Cleaner and have invested $$$ in Water Fed Pole etc,Have Insurance and Other related costs in running a business.
