Top secret marketing tactic! (maybe?)

So I went to one of my new storefronts that hired me for a clean, and for the first go, the owner wasn't in. They had me do 2 panes in/out and a door for $20. I returned 2 weeks later, and the owner was in. She said the windows are still in good shape, so monthly would be fine. I looked at the glass door, and it was all smudged, so I cleaned it like I would if I were to eat off of it as a courtesy. The owner asked if I do residences, did the estimate and landed the job.

This method is transferable to multiple storefronts (and possibly residences). I landed 4 new accounts after 5pm today by doing just the door for free. Some (four) told me to come back and do the rest of the store.

Maybe this is an old technique to some of you, but glass doors get hammered with hand-prints. It was coincidental that I found this to work, but it does. "oh.. no no no..."... "No. it's free. It takes me 1.5 minutes to do a door in/out, here's my card.."

Make sure you're rigged up with all your gear, and a smile ready to make that door look better than anything in that store.

Get some.
