Am I fan of the so called confederate flag? Not really. I liked the Dukes of Hazzard when I was growing up. Am I a fan of slavery? Nope. But it's part of our national history and you can't change history by suppressing it.
Everyone is so excited to get rid of the flag (walmart, amazon, et al) but they still carry Che stuff. The flag hasn't killed anyone, but Che said "The Negro is indolent and lazy and spends his money on frivolities, whereas the European is forward-looking, organized and intelligent." and then he proceeded to kill a lot of black people.
The country is seriously screwed up over how people feel instead of using logic, reason, and debate. If you don't agree with the totalitarians, then your labeled a racist or a homophobe. When a sexual feeling can overrule the first amendment enshrined in our birth certificate, to protect speech and religion, that's jacked.
If you want to get rid of symbols of racism, let's stop teaching Darwin who wrote "On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection, or the Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life." Because if you're going to teach Darwin, then the only logical conclusion is that among all species, there should be ONE that is superior to all others. And within that one species, there should be ONE genetic line that is superior to the others in that species. So, speaking evolutionarily, what's wrong with slavery? What's wrong with genocide? Nothing. Favoured races means exactly that. There is no tolerance, grace, or mercy when it comes to blind natural selection (which is a logical fallacy in and of itself ("natural" cannot "select" anything), but I'm not writing a philosophical dissertation here).
But forget logic, let's attack religion. It was Christianity, pretty exclusively, that wiped out slavery. Paul wrote "And masters, treat your slaves in the same way. Do not threaten them, since you know that he who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no favoritism with him." It's awfully hard to mistreat a slave that you also call "brother" who was bought by the blood of YOUR master Jesus.
There is no such thing as race in Christianity: "There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus."
But today, we suffer from such cranial rectal inversion that Darwin and Che are symbols of tolerance and Christianity is a hateful religion while Islam is pure as the wind driven snow as they cut off the heads of unbelievers.
So, I'm going to turn this rant off, give a big thumbs up to Kid Rock, and turn this sucker up!
