Hi Folks,
Just wondering how you would handle this situation. Currently I take care of the weekly cleaning of 8 chain coffee shops in town that are open 24 hours. It works out great during the winter months when residential cleaning is slow(although getting up in the early am in the winter in Ontario can really suck! : ). But with work getting busier through the spring to fall months, Its stretching my days out too long. I have been doing the cleaning of these stores starting early am(between 5am to 7am) to avoid the coffee junkie traffic. They are used to me coming at this time...but now I'm ending up doing 13-14hr days on the days I do the coffee shops. I've asked if there is a certain time during the day that has the least amount of traffic, but got a response that they'd prefer me to keep the hours of cleaning at either early am or late at night. I've tried hiring a few guys over the years to just handle the shops, but every time I get a guy I think will work out, I start getting complaints so i end up taking the reins back over. My options that I think I have right now is either A)try hiring again, B)tell them I can can only do the cleaning during regular business hours or C) let the contract go....Maybe there is an option D?? Just wondering if any of you have done these kind of shops that seem to be super busy through all hours of the day...and how you handled the situation.
Thanks!
