When can we get rid of all the "what would you bid?" threads?

It seems like all I see anymore is "what would you price this at?" threads. I challenge all the newbies to get off your lazy butts and figure it out for yourself. Start using a calculator and some yellow legal pads and come up with your own pricing!!

Dirty little secret: ONLY YOU can crunch your own numbers and figure out what YOU need to charge to cover your expenses and ONLY YOU know what you should charge. All the rest is just pure laziness. You know there are a few of us around that started our businesses before the Internet and we learned the hard way, by doing it. Now it seems like the lazy GEN Yer's (or whatever they are going by now) want to jump online and have someone else set their pricing for them. It doesn't work that way. If you wan to be in business then run it like a business and determine your own cost of goods and labor and figure it out for yourself. Quit relying on others to tell you what to charge for your services. How should we know if your brother in law will work all weekend for a case of beer? That's for you to figure out, not us.

If you want a national rate sign up for Responsibid and they'll tell you what the going average is. Please quit posting a couple of pics of that multi story office complex and asking "what should I charge?" Seriously? You call yourself a businessman and can't even decide what to charge a client?

[[[[Rant over]]]]

Sorry if I offended you but seriously? You don't even know how to charge for your services and you call yourself a business owner?
