3/4 Days

I've been doing window cleaning for over a decade and still can't find a good solution to 3/4 days, you know those jobs where two people are done by 2:30 PM? It's too late to start another job and if I don't have a 2-3 hour job that I can plug in those hours are wasted. One huge issue for me is that I live in rural area and sometimes when we finish a job at 2:00 - 2:30 we have a 40 minute drive back to town so 3:15 or so before we can get to the next job. I've tried working the guys 10-12 hrs a day but the overtime costs are brutal and a lot of customers don't want us starting a job at 3:30 in the afternoon. I've tried three man crews and a heavier schedule but I have the same thing happening a lot. I've tried starting earlier but residential customers aren't keen on 7 am start times so we start at 8 AM

So, if you deal with this and have found any useful solutions I'd appreciate your input. One thought I had was filling in with storefront accounts but right now we are doing all of them on specified days of the month. In other words every other Friday and the last Wednesday of the month are nothing but commercial routes so if I started juggling them around I'm concerned about some being missed or lacking consistency.
