Yeah, so, as the title says...I was practicing the s-pattern with soap and water (dish soap, 2 tablespoons per 5 gallons) and a new squeegee. Seen this done in the real world, so I soaped up the window and I'm standing there with my smartphone tuned into what seemed to be a good instructive youtube video on this in one hand, and the squeegee in the other, ready for action. So I did it exactly as the video showed and as the video showed it. But I still got streaks. I practiced this for over 45 min until I finally gave up, figuring there was nothing more I could do to modify the way I was doing it in an attempt to not get streaks. Do not know what to do.
I have heard that the s-pattern is not the holy grail in speedy use of a squeegee, that the pull-down or pull-across method, requiring the wiping or flicking dry of trhe edge of the squeegee, is actually just a tad faster. Maybe the s pattern is liked because it saves on towels or something.
