Just a quick hello from a noob! I have been reading the forums for a couple of weeks now, and I must say that this is a very valuable resource for information. You guys are very helpful and generous with your knowledge.
I started looking at window cleaning as a potential career path for my son, but I am now thinking of jumping in myself and working with him and building a nice, profitable small business. How have you decided which areas to focus on? I have had some success hitting the streets armed with a bucket, squeegee, mop, and box of blue (huck) towels cleaning smallish store fronts going door to door. It's been a great way to get some hands on experience and improve my squeegee skills, and put a few bucks in my pocket, but I know there is more out there than just that, and the whole door to door thing is mentally exhausting for me. Tonight I am going to spend a couple hours putting flyers in a couple neighborhoods and see if I can generate a few jobs. Any other suggestions?
