Hey all. Just wanted to say I bought some scrim and GG4 and used them both on a job yesterday. It may have been the cooling weather, but I was really happy with both and felt like my ability to detail glass eased. I was using Dawn (sometimes adding ammonia) and it seemed with the GG4 (I added 1 capful per gallon) and a few drops of dawn; any water left seemed to just evaporate without residue most of the time. I did the interior of the home second and my suspicions were confirmed that the windows outside were as clean as I thought they were.
When there was need for a detail with the scrim, it performed wonderfully. What can I say, David Guiterrez convinced me to buy the scrim :)
I really like him. He seems like he'd be a good guy to have a beer with. :p
Now, my mother-in-law is in town (as we're waiting for our 5th to arrive next Monday)and she's good with a sewing machine. I'm hoping to make my own scrim (I know its made of "Irish Linen"), but couldn't find any in about 4 linen and hobby stores around me. Does anyone know where to find it by the yard?
