I am using Housecall Pro and the system works best if the employees have smart phones. So, I have an iPhone 5 to give to my lead tech but I am now realizing there are a lot of considerations before just handing him a phone. I was wondering what some of you do. Specifically:
1. Do they turn the phone in each night or keep it all the time?
2. If they keep it all the time do they pay a small fee for personal use (some companies do this).
3. Do you have a written cell phone use policy?
I recently read an article that says if you email an employee after hours or weekends they can consider answering your email as work hours and expect to get paid for it.
I'm leaning toward just having them turn it in at the end of the day but I also would like to let them use it as a kind of perk too.
