Got a call from a guy who found me on Angie's List. Said he had another window cleaner come out but he wanted $89 for a monthly clean. Complained it took the guy like 45 minutes to do, so he says that he wants exteriors done for $50 a month. (Right, something isn't adding up).
I go to look at it and explain first cleans are always full price. (Appeared to be: Do it for $50 and I'll have you back each month. - Right, I'm sure I would never hear from the guy again).
I give him the First Time price then offer a 30% discount for monthly maintenance after that, not 51% that he is asking for.
Him: "Thanks for coming by, I'll talk it over with my wife."
Me: "Nice to meet you, have a good day."
Some people put no value on anothers business coming to their home and doing a job for them. Guess if I want to eat hotdogs and drink tap water for meals I could succumb to such antics; or if a dozen of his neighbors were lined up for the same thing? (Incidentally - A very low productive neighborhood for services.)
