I saw @Alex Lacey's scion and got seriously jealous. So I was wondering if he'd chime in on a parts list or recommended parts list for a diy setup like that. I also know that Mark @Beautiful View has looked at some spot sprayer tanks in the past.
I did a search through the forums and a lot of the info was older so I was hoping to get an updated list so I can be cool like Alex.
I'm looking at maybe a 25 gal tank but not sure whether to get the 1gpm or the 2gpm model. My hudson backpack is I think a 1gpm and it's a workhorse (unless you run dry and then the pump lasts exactly 2 seconds).
Also, do you really need a flow controller? Do I need to buy 5 extra pumps in case I accidentally run it dry when I'm around back of a house?
The tank is mainly for residential (probably less than 30' pole). I'm tried of lugging the backpack around back of houses and would rather just run the hose out the back of the truck and flip the switch.
It doesn't seem to me that leaching would be a big problem or at least it wouldn't contribute a significant tds, but was curious whether anyone has experienced that as a problem.
