I was asked to give an estimate for a job the other day which is for a restaurant which has maybe a window or two less than the average Denny's. The owner wants to know how much it'll cost to do the interior and exterior of the windows and also just the outside by itself. Any thoughts as to about what this should cost? I'm thinking around-just off the top of my naive head-about $30 for all the outside, $50 for everything inside and out. Go mainly by what the market will bear around you rather than how much you *wish* you could charge, since those numbers can often be quite different. It being a restaurant, I'm perfectly willing to ask the guy to throw in a lunch entree or two as part of the deal. I have nothing against bartering at all so long as the terms are perfectly understood before the work commences. (Please understand this post is not about the pros and cons of or the fine art of bartering. I'll do that one later. :)
