On Friday, I will have a slider running on the WCR homepage, and I wanted to go ahead and put up a post to explain it a little bit.
For the past several months, I've done some consulting for a few different companies, both in and out of the window cleaning industry. It's been a really awesome experience, and I'm really grateful to the folks who have given me a chance to help impact their businesses. Some of them will see this, and some of them won't, but either way... I definitely appreciate the opportunity.
I've found that I really, really enjoy helping people get UNSTUCK. It's so easy in business to get bogged down in the details, and wind up not really making a lot of progress.
Running and growing a business is hard. I told one guy that it's like if someone told you to put together a 500 piece puzzle, but they only gave you 235 pieces, and there is no picture on the front of the box. And every few days they come in and take apart half of what you've put back together. I have realized that most businesses don't necessarily need more pieces for the puzzle, right now. But they can really use a new set of eyes on the pieces that they already have. So that's what I've been providing.
However, what I've found is that there has been a common need for more follow-up, and more accountability, after my time with the company is finished. So I started thinking about the idea of setting up some Mastermind Groups, and making a limited number of them available to some folks here on WCR.
I've talked to Chris about it a bit, and he really thought it was a good idea, so I decided to go for it. You can learn more about the Mastermind Groups HERE.
NOTE:
* there is a cost to be a member of a group. It's not very expensive, but I felt like it was important to have some sort of cost, in order to not dilute the groups with people who just wanted to fool around with the idea, but not really commit. If you join a group, you would prefer that the other people be so committed to the group succeeding that they were willing to pay for it, right?
