Just saying hi, from a newbie

Long story short, I live in central North Carolina and was at one point in my life a self-employed locksmith for over 20 years. But with changes in the industry and recession this and that, I had to give that up. I've been working one underpaying, part-time corporate DRONE job after another since then because I didn't have an idea for a business that would be very low startup cost, require no advertising to get started aside from some business cards, be entirely mobile (no office or storefront) and at least pay the bills without having to hire anyone. I thought of window washing, and suddenly the idea of asking someone for permission t make them money while got sub-human treatment and was fed the financial scrap[s seemed even more ridiculous.

I formulated some idea for the business which are already coming online just as planned, got the basic gear from Home Depot and washed the windows of a friend's boutique as my first job. I have since gotten a few storefronts on a weekly schedule. I plan on eventually building a route, same as anyone else who does mostly storefront washing. I have no interest in residential window washing at this time, so sorry but advice to that effect (residential pricing and working methods, etc.) would be wasted on me for now.

But I know close to zero about window washing aside from what I've seen on YouTube and learned from practicing on unoccupied storefront businesses. I have a million questions about the equipment, the work itself, aspects of running the business, PRICING!...especially pricing info, which is what I really need to learn fast, etc., etc. But luckily the online window washing community seems to be one of nice people how are willing to share their experience. So I look forward to communicating with you here! Thanks,

Jeff
