Removing Hard Water Spots with Slow Release Coatings

A slow release coating (SRC) is a water miscible plastic that can be loaded with many different polishing particles. It is used to coat or "paint" the bottom contact surface of a hard felt polishing lap. Which can be either a disk or a ring. The glass is first cleaned, then wet with a clean soapy water solution. Next the machine is put to the glass. The coating will slowly release the particle into the soapy water. The machine then polishes the glass. Not much of the coating breaks down in dissolution. So clean up becomes a breeze. And so this type of product also greatly minimizes the amount of labor involved along with the cost.
