Hi Everyone!
I am new to the WCRA and also new to water fed poles. This is my first post and I am hoping that someone can help me with my WFP technique.
I have a reach-it mini that I have been using for about 2 months. Up until recently, 98% of my work has been residential, but now that i have the WFP, I have been taking more challenging/lucrative commercial work.
I must be missing something when doing commercial glass, but on commercial jobs with 4" to 6" aluminum frames, I regularly find drips after the water has dried. I don't have this issue when cleaning frameless glass or residential windows, so I am thinking it must have something to do with the way that I am scrubbing the frames.
I always wash the frames first on all the windows in one area, then after the frames have dried, I come back and wash the glass. I always work from top down and wait until the windows above have finished dripping before doing the windows below. I feel like I do a decent job on the side frames, but I have a hard time scrubbing the bottom and top of the frame and don't see how it is possible without adjusting the brush up or down.
I tested the water and it is coming out of my DI tank with 0-PPM TDS so I must be introducing dirt to the windows at some point and am guessing that water is splashing onto the top frame when I am rinsing. Because I missed dirt on the top frame, it is contaminating the pure water and as a result, I get a drip on the otherwise spotless window.
Am I off base with my assumption? Do I need to alter my technique when cleaning the frames, windows or rinsing? Any help is greatly appreciated!
