Hey guys, so I've watched numerous videos, used various techniques, pencil tips, fan tips, a couple different brushes, we use a large DI setup and we also have a 4 stage RO DI we use. Some houses turn out almost perfect while others just end up spotty and frustrate me because then, I spend an hour with an eagle eye and touching up panes.
I'll just throw an example out there: Last week we had a fairly large house, french panes, newer, but the glass was sheeting beautifully, which is most cases to me means that the glass will more than likely turn out good. Was using fan tips because I'm told they're a better choice for cutouts. I usually start by scrubbing the top of the glass a bit, work the bottom equally as well, scrub the middle and make sure to give any visibly dirty spots extra attention, rinse from the top down in side to side motions to clear any left behind particles. I also wont start a window underneath the one I just did because it'll still be dripping, I'll start on another window first or for example: Clean all the transom windows first, then go back and clean the casements below.
I finished the outsides, which from there were visibly looking pretty darn good. I went to the inside to help my coworker on the insides and a lot of the windows were spotted. If you just walked through the room, glass looked fine, but if you got close to inspect the glass you could tell most of it didn't turn out.
I've been running into this on probably 50% of the WFP usage where the glass just turns out spotty. TDS reading is 0, I've copied technique from various instructional videos, I just don't know what I could be doing wrong. My only thought is maybe go over and re-rinse everything a second time? But waiting for it to dry and see if it turns out or not would be counter-productive? Would really like to achieve traditional quality with this system.
Any advice or suggestions would be helpful. Thanks in advance!
